The Cornell Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club is dedicated to teaching a grappling-based martial art and is open to all. We have a vast number of members from all different kinds of background, skill levels, but the same underlying passion. Our members are eager and driven towards learning the beauty, technique, and form of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Micaela Carroll is a junior studying how we learn language and movement. She has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over three years and earned her blue belt last April. She taught the fundamentals class for the club the past semester. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, dancing, and reading books.

Travis Fristoe is a junior studying Economics and pursuing a minor in Computer Science. He is passionate about sustainaibility and international trade and development. He loves being active and always looking for a challenge. Along with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he runs and swims as well.
